"It is hip-hop on paper: sampling, chopping, rearranging, and remixing and freestyling on top of it all for something meaningful and relevant." Jesse Freeman is from Maryland and has lived in Tokyo for 13 years. After falling in love with literature, Jesse developed four artistic mediums: photography, filmmaking, ikebana, and collage.

Having lived in Japan for many years, Jesse brings a unique outside perspective to socio-political topics affecting the Black community in America. Collage, Jesse found, offered the most direct form of expression to address them.
