Don’t Sleep on Canada

Boqortooyada and Father, Sarah-Mecca Adourahman

Don't Sleep on Canada is a virtual group exhibition that explores the rich history, contributions and perspectives of Black Canadians. This showcase also highlights narratives from the artists' family origins from around the world and the relationship of their lineage with Canada and the rest of the world.

This exhibition pays homage to the nuanced stories seldom told about the Black Canadian experience. It is a reminder to not sleep on the next generation of Black Canadian artists.
