Seven Over Everything
A photo of my late Grandmother Eureen Brathwaite in Barbados where my family originates from is collaged with two no.7 playing cards, a nod to the Lucky 7s scratch off tickets she would frequently purchase once she moved to the states. This work is a part of my Grid Frame series that archives my own family history by using the grid to highlight the beauty of black individuals and preserve memories.
