Introducing the 2025 cohort of Good Black Art's π—•π—˜π—¬π—’π—‘π—— π—§π—›π—˜ 𝗕𝗒π—₯π—’π—¨π—šπ—›π—¦.

Each Monday at the start of New York Art Week, we introduce a new cohort of NYC-based artistsβ€”10 talents who bring a rich mix of mediums, experiences, and intentions to our community. These are the ones to watch: artists who not only excel in their craft but lead by example, helping shape the future of the arts ecosystem.

In past years, we’ve focused on challenging the often romanticized aspects of the art world and highlighting emerging artists at the start of their careers. That remains importantβ€”but as we move through more uncertain times, there’s a renewed urgency to equip our artists with something deeper: a strong foundation of self.

Throughout this campaign, you’ll hear how these artists are tuning into their inner voicesβ€”not just to create, but to navigate life. In doing so, they offer advice to their peers on how to better understand, love, and be themselves. Because thatβ€”above allβ€”is the key to expanding how we see ourselves and our place in the world.

Follow the campaign and learn more about each artist.
