Every Monday during New York Art Week, we celebrate a diverse group of artists who bring a wealth of experiences, mediums, goals, and insights to the table. These 12 artists not only excel in their craft but they also lead by example, shaping the future of the arts ecosystem.Β

From navigating the rising living costs of the city to adapting to market shifts and fostering community connections, these artists will share their strategies for artistic growth and discuss the essential support needed for Black artists in the industry. Through this campaign, Good Black Art seeks to uncover the often romanticized aspects of the art world and acknowledge emerging artists at the start of their careers.

This Good Black Art campaign gets transparent about the often glamorized reality of working in the arts. These 12 creatives lead by example and imagine the future of the arts ecosystem.
