Untitled
In this work, Darin was thinking about his ancestors. Coming from a family who doesn’t know their origins or background due to slavery and the separation of families, he often questions his own identity. The work depicts an African mask, which is a spiritual object used in Africa to sometimes connect with ancestors. Darin also used glitter as a source of material to depict a spacey, out of this world imagery.
