Christopher "kolpeace" Johnson, born 1994 in Columbia, SC, passionately explores his Black Southern culture and ancestral influences through liberating anatomical gestured portraits, rapidly creating art in both studio and performance settings, all infused with a contemporary graffiti voice.

After earning his MFA in Community Arts, kolpeace cultivated a unique artistic voice combining traditional Southern themes with contemporary and graffiti styles. The moniker "kolpeace," which stands for "Kids Only Love Peace," encapsulates his philosophy: promoting empowerment and liberation through creativity, steeped in Black folklore and the rhythmic genres of trill, trap, and soul music.
