Destiny Branay is an emerging self-taught oil painter dedicated to using her practice as a vessel for communal healing and empowerment for the Black community, employing a star motif in much of her work that's symbolic of the light in Black people that refuses to be dimmed.

Growing up in Baltimore, Destiny's mother was a artistic person who had to give up her own art due to circumstance, and placed Destiny in art programs for kids in the summer. Her work has been featured at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair through SHEER, an NYC-based media company centering the stories of creative women and non-binary people of color.
