"I want to paint Black people until I am no longer asked why I should paint only Black people." Kamila Soares is a young artist based in São Paulo, Brazil. To her, painting is something that took her by surprise, but has connected her back to her childhood.

Kamila's goal is to paint people, stories, and details that no one sees: the vulnerable, the mistreated, and the misunderstood members of the Black community.
