Kevin Hopkins
"I revisit shared daydreams with my brothers to reinvent us as aspirational, imagined personas inspired by Southern traditions, pop culture, and humor; through these characters, we declare ourselves unique."
Kevin Hopkins [b. 2000, Beaufort, South Carolina] is a painter based in Kansas City, Missouri. Hopkins creates imagined personas activated by Southern traditions, pop-cultural phenomena, anecdotes and humor as a form of aspirational projection.
