Lauryn Levette is a contemporary artist who builds bold, colorful surrealist scenes reflecting her life and experiences as a young Black woman. Using watercolor, ink, acrylic, and oil paint, she creates dreamlike worlds in her drawings and paintings, believing rest is necessary to heal, function, and attain a newfound sense of peace.

Lauryn graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 2021 with a BFA in Painting and Art History, and debuted her first solo exhibition at New Image Art that same year. She's a recipient of the Florence Lief Award and the Black Artist Fund Grant, and has shown internationally in London and Barcelona.
