Lindsey Brittain Collins

Lindsey Brittain Collins is a New York-based visual artist working in painting, collage, sculpture, and installation. She received her BA in Economics and Sociology from the University of Virginia and her MBA from Columbia Business School, before pursuing her MFA, also at Columbia.

Lindsey's work confronts the erasure of Blackness and Black history, exploring how architecture, economic structures, and aesthetics shape urban environments and racial perceptions. She was appointed by the Governor to Virginia's Art & Architectural Review Board in 2018, and was an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center and, more recently, at the World Trade Center through Silver Art Projects.
