Sean Desiree (they/them) is a self-taught artist and furniture maker, born and raised in The Bronx. They use wood from found pallets, demolished buildings, and discarded scraps to create works informed by the language of geometry and guided by their commitment to highlighting stories of resistance.

As a Black, queer, nonbinary person, Sean is invested in being self-reliant and sharing the skills to create shelters and homes with their community. Through the craft of woodworking, they design life-size structures and sculptures that act as sanctuaries, protectors, and symbols of empowerment for BIPOC and queer communities, applying what they call "conducive architecture," functional forms that heal rather than harm, in direct response to the hostile architecture used to exclude poor people of color from public space.
