Yannick Lowery is an interdisciplinary artist based in Philadelphia, PA, and a native of New York City, claiming both cities as cultural and creative influences. He attended The Atlanta College of Art (now SCAD) and Columbia College in Chicago, studying sculpture and graphic design respectively.

Working primarily in paper collage alongside photography and animation, Lowery creates what he describes as illustrated proverbs, portents, and historical souvenirs, using found and archival imagery to guide viewers through cultural introspection. His practice explores the parallels of time focused on the Black experience in America and abroad, with illustration work featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Vanity Fair, and Time Magazine, alongside public murals and installations nationally.
